Tesla Humanoid Robot Prototypes
Tesla CEO Elon Musk stated that Tesla Humanoid Robot Prototypes are ready and looking forward to launching in the next year. Though it's in the prototype stage that means not able to work properly, it's just for displaying the structure about what would be the appearance of Tesla bots.
The humanoid bot is empowered with eight high-definition cameras to feed into its neural networks to support autopilot AI-powered Tesla engines for a self-driving capability. It will have the self-driving ability with Tesla's advanced automated driving assistance system.
The Structure:
From its first display during Elon Musk's statements, you can think of these bots as human-like structures having a sleek body made with metal with head, hands, and legs absolutely mimicking our human bodies. The face is fully covered with a screen to display the information that can help its owners to understand the work outputs.
The humanoid robots are 5 feet 8 inches in height and weighing 125 pounds to represent a normal human-like appearance. It will be capable of lifting 150 pounds and carrying 45 pounds at a distance of 5 miles per hour.
The Vision behind these bots:
Its target will be to do dangerous and boring works of humans. It can eliminate the hurdles of difficult work that have to face by a normal human being. So the economy can be raised by reducing the high labor costs for difficult works. As the robot can carry a lot of weights to a favorable distance, these works will be replaced by Tesla bots from normal humans.
Tesla cars are created with Artificial Intelligence taking in mind. They are already similar to semi-sentient bots on wheels. Their neural network directs them to analyze routes, determine traffics and obstacles, and what to do next when facing a challenge. That same technology will be used inside Tesla robots. So they can think by themselves, don't need to redirect them all the time.
If Tesla would have not built it, then some other company will be going to build it in the near future. So the billionaire CEO thought to expand his Autopilot cars into humanoid robots for the sake of mankind.
The robots will carry the mainboard around its chest area where the software system also will be implemented. Embodied with high-speed computers, the in-house chipset will come with DOJO, an automated software system that tells the hardware to work properly. The owner has to program it according to his needs, that's all.
But all these having said it's still very late to be in functional mode. The development period will take time and according to Elon Musk, no other company can bring robots officially into the public market in less than ten years. But Tesla trying to launch it in the next year or so. Although it will be updating phase and repeated iterations will undergo until its finer form we get.
